Error Code Testing ?
According to the Porsche workshop manual the Tester 9288 tool is used to read error codes. If I needed to have these codes read, how would I do that today ? Who would have the System tester 9288 when the are very expensive. I am not going to the Porsche dealership (if they even had one) and pay a ton of money to have codes read.

Look in Clark's Garage: http://www.clarks-garage.com in their garage manual. All you need is an LED from Radio Shack to read the codes.
Cheers, Keith

They do come up on ebay once in a while but I don't remember how much they usually go for.
