I bought a new automatic transmission on Ebay
It includes the complete transaxle, differential and automatic gearbox I already changed once the complete thing but I remember it's not that easy when you don't have any hoist. Question: Isn't it easier to change only the automatic gearbox (the last part at the end)? It seems to be only connected to the transaxle bu 4 bolts? Am i going to run in any troubles? |

I had a salvage yard guy tell me that you never change the Tranny fluid on a newly aquired Tranny. Sounds strange.. He said that since this is not done that often to begin with, the detergent removes alot of the gunk that has builts up in there and is keeping it from leaking. Also he said other parts tend to fail after fluid changes. Since some people (not the good ones) will put things stop leak additives just to sell old parts. So if you got a short warrentee, go for it. Otherwise maybe wait a few miles if the fluid level and quality are passable.
