a/c removal ?

Hi i was wondering if i can remove the whole a/c system on my car with out killing myself. can it be done. i know i will have to put a delete bracket afterwards but can the average joe do it ...... thanks

Yep, but it depends how far you actually want to go with the removal. If just everything in the engine bay, its a pretty simple job.. mainly the compressor, receiver and the condenser. Removing the evaporator and lines is a bit more work (removal of the dash required).

thanks techno i have a 86 951.... with the bumper off at this time i want to remove everything up to the fire wall what about water leaks if any .... and if i cut the lines to the condenser will it create a problem.btw saw you video. nice
