I know this is an old thread. I had my crank bolt come loose last summer. I don't drive my car much but fast forward to now and my whole engine needs to be rebuilt. Every bearing is worn and feel like sandpaper. I guess what i am getting at is that if your crank bolt comes loose, stop driving. I believe proper torque is 155'lbs. Check yours today.

The better way to say that is if your oil pressure drops abnormally, stop driving. I did not. I rebuilt another engine for it.

Yes, i usually associate low oil pressure with hi temps. But that isn't always the case.
I have a oil temp probe in my oil pan. Temps were great. Bearings were not. Because i wasn't getting hi temps i was believing that i had a gauge error. Now i put on a separate light, independent on the gauge. If my oil pressure drops i have a big red light in my view. Live and learn.
