Passenger low bean headlight fuse keeps shorting out...any ideas where to look?
My passenger headlight has been out, and after replacing the headlight without checking the fuse like an idiot, I found out its the fuse that keeps popping.
Is there a common reason for this I can check? How does the wiring run so I can follow it and look?

I had some time to check it out a little more and found that I do not have continuity in one of the headlight wires but I do in the other (I'm assuming its the high beam that has continuity)...however the high beams do not work either. The fuse for the high beams does not pop when I try to use them, but the low beam does right when I turn them on.
I checked the headlight harness wire and all three wires were good....how can I check from the harness connector to the fuse panel? I tried to remove the fuse panel and it would only raise up a small amount before the wires pulled on it, and I cannot see under it. I followed the wires as far as I could and there were no rub spots or tears in the insulation...any thoughts on where to go from here? Also, I noticed the fog lights turn off if I engage high beams...is this normal?

Yes, there are a couple of things you can check. First, the grounds need to be cleaned. Open the headlights, in other words, turn them on and then look inside the back. Follow the wires leading out, you will be looking for brown wires that attach themselves to the frame of the car. That is the grounds that need to be cleaned. There are two (2) spots on the front of the car.
Also, your High Beam relay may need to be replaced. I have one if you need one. Good luck

Whoops!
I forgot to mention, that your fog lights should stay on. So, it sounds like that may need a relay as well. They are both pretty cheap, and, yes I have that one too available. cheers

Problem solved... the rubber insulation looked fine at the hinge point, but I thought I'd take it apart just to be sure. 3/4" into it, the yellow and white wires popped out, another 1/2" and the brown wire was hanging on by a line or two. Butt connected all of them back together and headlight works great now.
Learned a good lesson in that looks mean nothing with these cars. Thanks everyone!
