Heat won't shut off
I have all the levers to the left and the blower switch off, but still getting roasted.

Make sure that the cable to your water valve is working. The water valve is located near the clutch bell housing on your cars.

Not sure on your models, but on my 87 944 there was a broken plastic clip in the driver side foot well area. They are well known to break and it leaves a flap open for all heat all the time as a fail safe for winter driving. They have metal replacements now if I remember correctly. It's been a couple years since that repair.

and if all those fail to fix it, check your fuse. Every time my car starts blowing at me non stop, I go to my fuse box and look at number 19 or 29 (I forget which one it is) and its always blown. So I replace it and its good to go.
