Porsche Crest Pricing for parts

I need a nose panel for my 84 944.

How much would something like that cost, on average? (meaning not from just Pelican but what other places might sell them for)

Well you would obviously just buy a used one in good condition. A new one, if they are available will be big bucks.

Also on the early cars the header panel is tac welded in, take a bit of time and work to get them off.

...I know that, hence why I'm asking what prices are on average used (or new which unless 'new' ones were made but never installed and are just sitting somewhere... but I doubt it)

I don't know of any place that has one of those for sale but i can give you a list of recyclers that will almost certainly have one and you can call them to get the prices.

You can likely get one in the colour of your car and have only to buff it up if its in good shape.

$100 is an average price for a good part.

True, cause I was skeptical about trying to reshape mine. being sheet metal and all... I doubt it would like it very much if I tried to get it back to normal shape without cracking or breaking on me

+1 for $100 used in good condition. I believe a new one is over $300.

the part your asking about is called a header panel . check out car-parts.com its a nation wide look up for used part that most all of us use that own repair shops .but they do sell to people that don't own shops too .i should add that the header panel on your car is a weld on part so if i were you i would buy a later one that bolts on and modify your car for the bolt on one.
