Key question
I need a few spare keys for my 1986 951. Will the standard $7.50 sold here work with the locks or do I need to shell out $35 to get the lighted crest version?

The local Porsche dealer cut me a key on a standard 924 key blank, which does look suspiciously like a VW key now that I think on it.

My local Porsche dealer had both keys. I opted for the fancy key. Heck, they had $100K cars in there and they wanted me to drive one! They must have seen "SUCKER" written on my forehead! And to think just two years later the crest has fallen out of both keys I bought. The light still works though.
