My new car!

Well it's not my new car but I just got it painted and did some detailing to it and it's just like new.

Check it out!

Tell me what you think, it's Maaco's version of Porsche's GT Silver, it looks more like Arktic Silver to me but I'm still happy it looks alot better than it did. Kudos to the guys at Maaco for putting in great work on my car.

I'd kill the Maaco tards for painting the door handles, alarm switch, and I presume all the rubber? Did you pay up so they at least washed the car first?

Looks masculine. I like the blackout lenses for the rear lights.

Paul, I like these new pictures -- the smoothed bumpers look terrific, and that colour really pops with the black wheels!

Do you have one which shows the whole rear of the car?

C.

Why so you can get all your rubber painted and the whole car covered in cheap paint and shoddy work. Maybe the op got lucky but as a general rule maaco does ****ty work

For the money! Maaco did an excellent job. They did not get paint everywhere like I thought they would and they gave me a free bottle of touch-up paint to boot. Had the door handles painted because when I went in to see the car before final pickup I noticed how new the car looked all painted and how crappy the handles looked being all faded black and scuffed. At that moment I started to get the door pillars painted then decided not to. I think I might get some fake carbon fiber pillar covers from those Jag guys because they just look horrible up close (faded black and scuffed as well). However car looks 100% better that it did.

Here's another a$$ shot!

and two before shots so you all can see what I now see.

For the black on the door pillar buy some wide PVC electrical tape and use a sharp hobby knife to trim the excess. When it starts to look crap, pull it off and replace with whatever color you like.

it looks OK now, but you're gonnna regret that paint job in a year when it's all cracking and peeling off the plastic bumper parts and your door knobs.

I think the car looks great right now. Not everyone has a lot of money to spend $2000 plus on a paint job. A person does the best they can. Shame on those who put you and your car down. Maybe in the future you can afford a better paint job. Just enjoy your car now.

Cheers,
Larry

Or, for all the black metal trim, carefully mask it off and paint with duplicolor black laquer auto spray paint from local auto parts store, including the door handles. Then it will all look new!

lamin-x.com is a way to black out the rear lights, along with tint it, or to get a clear film.

it looks good but i already think that the rear lights are not very bright. i think tinting them is just asking for trouble. looks good though.

Car looks good. Macco is as good as the franchise your taking it to. I had a 944 painted there with a single stage and it looked great. The overspray was easy to get off and everyone thought I paid 3k for the job. If you take care of the paint it will last for a long time. Why anyone would want to spend 3k for a paint job on a car worth 3k is beyond me. Enjoy your new look.
