My 944.

Hi, Guys. Can you help me with this pesky problem.
I bought my 944 non running; I put a new battery in her and when I turn the key to 'power' all the lights in the dash light up, and I'm getting a loud clicking noise from the cruise control servo. Is my servo DOA, or Do I have some gremlins?

i hope u didn't pay more than $500 for a non running 944.

more likely than not, it's a bad ground or a short between two wires. take off the kick panels and start checking every which wire to make sure the insulation is still there.

DME relay is a common fault. Cheap. easy fix. Stick another one in and see what happens.

For now I would just diconnect it as you have bigger problems and cannot properly test it until the car is running anyway.

That's what I have done so far, along with a new DME relay. The engine won't catch, so I have bigger fishes to fry at the time being.
