Running 17"'s on a 944 n/a
In the spring I will be looking to get a set of 993 Cup II's for my 87 n/a. I like to know a few things. I was told to use the 968 castor blocks, what actually are these ? Any other suspension upgrades I would need ? I already have Koni's and plan on doing bigger f & r sway bars.

I've got 17" Fikse wheels on my 944S.
I just bolted them on and tossed the Phone Dials aside. Everything else is still stock. |

With 17 inch wheels, it is recommended to upgrade to the 968 caster block. It can be hard to find caster blocks, but if you search for control arm bushings; you will find them. There are some after market products that claim to be better than OEM? Not sure what that means. I believe Paragon has them, and probably Linsey Racing.
As for not having had any problems, remember that you are driving 3000 pounds of steel and glass. If you do have a failure of the control arm, it could be VERY bad. |

I put cup 2's on my car without any upgrades and they run perfectly fine, no problems as of yet and I have been using them HARD for a full season.
