Porsche Crest Rear Seat Delete: Help

Hello guys, you have been very informative helping me with all of my problems and you all have proven to be a valuable group of friends. Thanks for all of your help so far.

Anyway, I would like to delete my back seat in my 1987 951 "weekend racer" but I don't want it to look bad as I drive the vehicle in the summer. Is there a carpet set available that covers it? I could have sworn I saw one on eBay a few months ago. Thanks.

Randy

The only rear seat delete I am aware of that is available as an off-the-shelf solution is the kit from Deutsch Nine, a UK based company.

The Deutsch Nine one is exactly what Im looking for, is the carpet in the 944 Cabriolet similar? Thanks for the fast responses.

I hate it when 3 people want to ride in my car... So Im not only going to lighten my car, Im going to make it a 2 seater

Appbiz.com has a very nice carpet set and was working on a rear seat delete a while back. You have to contact them for the 944 set as it's not listed. They have a few different materials. The felt is very nice and looks very factory 'RS' esque.

You may want to put some type of sound deadening back in around the seats. With the bottom portion of the rear seat removed you will be absolutley amazed at how loud it gets in the car. For track only it's alright but if you do any street driving it's very annoying.. And I like my cars loud! .

Thanks for the help guys, I will be following the link Rasta Monsta gave me as well as the posting on Renlist.com. The address is as follows:

Weight Reduction Project: Rear Seat Delete - Rennlist Discussion Forums

I will follow his instructions and I will take photo's for others to use as guide lines for future projects. Ill keep you posted. $400+ spent on a seat delete is absurd, Ill do my best making my own. If it passes everybody's expectations I will try to make a mold.

Thanks once again.
