in need of transaxle help
 

SmileWavy i have a 1984 944 n/a with a bad non lsd transaxle. so my freind has a 1986 non lsd transaxle that he's not using and asked me if it will work on my 1984 n/a. so before i asume is the same please someone tell me if i can use it on my car or not thank you and god bless :confused:

Yes, they are interchangeable. The only difference really is the '86 has the electronic speedo sender which can just be left disconnected. Your '84 is run off a cable from the front left hub.
