strut removal tool

Looking for porsche tool 9186. I believe this is the tool that removes the cap to remove the insert. I am also looking for a comparable tool that can do the job. trying to move the insert. Not sure which tool to use.
Thanks

I used a regular pipe wrench to remove the caps and reinstall the new caps. I wrapped electrical tape around the new caps to protect them while tightening them, then I removed the tape.

+4 for the pipe wrench. Do this step right after you get the wheel off, otherwise you'll just be spinning the strut and muttering to yourself.
