Not Good

If you have a slightly fading clear coat........do not EVER bring it to a "drive thru" car wash. My car looks like it had a 4 gallons of grease poured over it.

I have owned the car since March. I always washed it myself but today it was bit cold and brought it to car wash. All I have to say is.......wear a sweater and do it your self.

Anyone got a solution to get stains out of a clear coat.

Try dish soap (like Dawn), and then re-wax afterwords because the Dawn will strip any kind of wax you had on it.

You don't normally want to use a dish soap, but it's okay if you're waxing the car after washing it.

Sometimes the automatic car washes do a terrible job; they tend to use nasty chemicals in lieu of actually scrubbing it. Honestly, if I can't wash my car, I go through the really nice "regular" car wash. It's a huge company, they've been around for a long time, and they've never damaged my car. I never get scratches or anything. I'd rather have that touch my car then some of those chemicals. Besides, the automatic ones never dry our cars well; I usually have to get out and dry it off again.
