Rear Seat Backrest delete

I like the look of having the rear seats deleted from the 944. But I also like having the seats there just in case they are needed. I started to take the seats out, but then when I got half way through, I thought I might keep them like this.
I was wondering if you guys thought I should leave it stock, do a full delete, or leave it the way it is now?

Also, after taking the pictures. I noticed that there was a leak coming from the sunroof. I think the seals are leaking. Is there anyway to save them, or do I need new ones.

Seals leaking as they get hard over time or the sunroof drain tube came off the left rear corner. You have to pull down that corner to see. If loose or off use a zip tie to hold it onto the drain tube.

Cheers,
Larry

That spot could be from your hatch as well.

I think it looks good, but may not be the safest for a passenger back there. A rear seat back can prevent neck injury during a crash. So if you'll be carrying rear passengers, might want to rethink the seat back. But if not, leave it!

Rasta Monsta- It is coming from the sunroof, there are water drops that trace back to the cracked seal.

p-talk- The way I see it, the car is basicly a two seater anyway, and non of my friends can fit in the rear seats. So I think I will keep it like this.

I pulled the rear seatback off mine since it was totally rotted. I didn't want anyone sitting back there without the seatback so I pulled the seatbelts out too. I haven't done the complete rear seat delete yet only because I want the sound deadening quality of the seat bottom.

Porsche Crest

1990 944 S2; I started the same project several years ago but decided to leave the car stock. It is still that way today. Then last year I purchased a 1987 911 Cab. I've attached a few pix of my rear seat delete box. Your right about the sound deading effect with rear seat removed. I cleaned out the old sound deading material and in stalled "rumble mat" and then a layer of "B-Quiet" under the aluminum delete box. I still need to finish off the project with carpet and leather covering several of the deck and side pieces. This work thing is slowing me down!
