WTB: 944 Car Cover (or recommendation)
Looking to buy a 944 car cover for outdoor rain/sun use. Preferably something that is relatively packable so I can keep it in the car. My 944 lives in the garage, but it seems like every time I went to a show or to the beach last year it rained. I also like to back it out of the garage every now and then to use the garage as a workshop and I don't want to be limited by rain or even light snow.
Anything for sale or recommendations for a good cover for these uses would be great. I'm trying to avoid the huge cost of some of the ones I see online. Are any of the ones on eBay or Amazon worth while? Thank you!! |

I think you're right, you only get what you pay for. I need to learn to stay away from the eBay junk. I just ordered a new Covercraft Weathershield, and I can't wait to get it. Although it's arrival will probably trigger a season long drought...

You need to check the fabric breathablity figures, and the hydrostatic head after 2 months Aizona sunshine(a standard test). If the cover vendor can't give those very important figures go elsewhere. Also, make sure the cover is made specifically for the car model e.g 944, and is not just a general cover made to a length and nothing else.
How do I know this? I own a car cover making company that I started in 1979, that's how. I would offer a discount to fellow Pelicaners but for the fact the we are in the UK and the US and Canada are the only countries in the world we don't ship to.
