I found another cigarette Lighter today from a junk car (was in better shape then mine) and the also got an old Key and removed the Porsche crest with a dremel tool and some Gorilla glue and installed it, not bad

That looks pretty trick - well done - Now the lighter is worth $30.00 more also with a Porsche Crest. Ha ha

That reminds me, the one on my ignition key has fallen out. Anyone got a spare one?

I did something similar, i took the crest from a key fob & mounted it on the horn button of my momo steering wheel.

I think i may need to find a key & do the lighter as well

Had part was cutting the crest out of the key with out nicking it, I used a set of jewelers glasses (magnification) after doing it i found you should cut the crest out starting at the bottom and around the sides all the way through and leave the top un cut ( or you are working on a very small piece) then slowly grind down the back of the crest after you remove the sides.I used a cut off wheel.
any "crazy glue" type will work and just a dab will do ya.
Not sure I would use one so small on my horn but hey if it works.
the beauty of this was I had a new (used) lighter incase I messed it up. but mine matched my dash better.
take your time and it will look great

the crest on the key fob is about 1-1/4" tall.
I have an old key with a silver crest i'm not using, it may become a donor for the lighter

Well, so much for anyone having a spare one, now! Since they apparently do "come unglued" occasionally, I don't see any sense in cutting the key up to remove it. If you get something sharp behind it, maybe it will just "pop" right off. That should make it more flush when mounted on the lighter.

My mechanic tried to pry it off and it did not budge and scratched the edge (but try it) either way it does sit flush on the lighter unless you bend it?
