What's my 87 924s worth?
I need a ballpark figure.
My 87 924s has a blown head gasket, it has the manual trans, the body structurally is good, the paint is bad, drivers seat is torn(the other 3 seats are good) and the dash is cracked. The trans shifts good, clutch is good and the suspension is good. Thanks, Joey

I guess it depends on where you are, but I bought a runner for $900 that sounds a little better than that.

Might be worth $1500 after the $6000 is put in With the miles, 172K Blown Head Gasket Paint is bad Interior torn, cracked, Part it out. Give it to GoodWill, (I did with an '85 Jeep Cherokee that was in better shape) Get full coverage insurance and throw it off a cliff. You might get a positive of $500 in the end after expenses. No wait...lawyers are expensive. Part it out. Ask Rasta how to build a "Chump Car" Donate it to Rasta if he lets your drive the "TooFuh" Part it out. New owners pay crazy prices for parts. ![]() John Part it out.

Thanks guys,
I've been tossing the idea of putting in a LS1(or equivalent) since I got it, may be a reality.

Check out some of the Hybrid forums.
I think the body and frame might not handle it. Now a 968 in a 924S has been done.... GL John

Hybrid forums?
I did have plans to stiffen up the chassis, once I make sure the chassis is true, to accommodate the extra power. Joey

$1500, probably not too far off, Hence, ''I'm nuts''
And it's still relatively cheap therapy............ It's what I do to escape.

I'm in the LS conversion camp. When my engine goes and I'm going to spend 6K, Im going that route. This isn't an investment, it's passion or stupidity. Take your pick.
