rough idle.

So now the car is finished! and I want to drive it

Lots of things done. (Brakes, suspension, powersteerng resorvoir, new rad......etc...etc...etc....)

The car was sitting for about 3 months. The car was idling and running fine prior to the repairs.

Took a long time to finally have her turn over. NOw that she is running she is idling around 900 rpm which is fine, but it sounds rough. I would almost goes as far as saying "like a lawmower"!

It just does not seem right. I rev it up and once I let go it wants to stall.

What I have done in the fuel/electrical area.

1. Had my injectors cleaned/ new o rings etc.
2. New plugs. (had new rotor distributor, wires last year.
3. Removed and replaced some vaccum lines.

When I replaced the injectors the fuel rail had to come off. So it took a number of attempted starts before the air came out of the fuel rail.

It was all running fine prior to the dismantling!

I need some opinions before I begin to chase this problem. Any opinions will help me think about this from a different angle.

Thanks!

So I checked a few things and I kept thinking the timing was off.....misfiring ...running on 2 cylinders......etc!

So it was the last thing I needed to clear up so I just took it in to the porsche dealership and had them check it out (since they were scheduled to do my alignment)

Guess what! 2 bad injectors ........not one .........2!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was running on 2 cylinders.

I told them just replace all 4 and lets get her right.

Let me tell you, I am not impressed. I sent these injectors to RCengineering, had them tested... cleaned....blah blah blah. They even sent the test sheet? Showing them all running at spec.

How do you miss 2???????

The porsche dealership showed me the 2 injectors leaking excessively!!!

So guess who I am calling Monday morning.

On the bright side. My car is back on the road, and I forgot how nicely she rides. I think I am going to post some pics, in the next day or two.

Check all your vacuum hoses for leaks.
