what did you do to your car today?

Replaced the cracked tailight lenses and center panel lights. But not before tinting them, for a different look.

Proudly I can say I finally fixed something on my 944 completely by myself and without looking up any outside help

When driving back from lunch break at my Naval base last weekend, the horn suddenly started activating itself and was going crazy, people were pulling off the road lol. I pulled the fuse for a temporary fix and drove home. Pulled off the cover and noticed this little black plastic thing was out of place and the bolt wasn't screwed in. Pulled it out with some pliers and (7 mm socket) tightened the bolt into place. I am assuming the heads of the bolts are some sort of contact area that activates the horn?

I used Dupont black chromabase and thinned it 30 to 1. You have to scuff the plastic and apply adhesion promoter. Then carefully give it a quick coat, re-apply as needed to get the darkness you desire, it takes mutiple coats but be careful not to get it too dark. Let dry and then I added two coats of clear, and viola tinted lenses! Or the easy way is to buy VHT nite-shades and do the same thing, I seem to do everything the hard way though. I have done it both ways, The VHT is much faster, but I think the other way turns out nicer, or at least I would like to think so, haha

Sounds like something I would mess up badly without practice.

Speaking of blacked out taillights, I think they look best when the car is also black, and the windows are tinted.

As suggested, I looked a bit more. I found another shop (way across town) that has done a few 944's and is confident he can do the job. He wants 200 for the job (last failed attempt was going to be $160). I'm just going to have to hang around his shop fo a couple hours... by the time I bum a ride back home, it'll be time to go back to pick up.

1500 miles of National Scenic Byways last week on the original (completely dead) Boge dampers convinced me to get my butt in gear and install brand new HD Bilstein Sport dampers for all four corners. Yeah. 8)

I brought the set of wheels I refinished out of temporary storage and gave the paint a good wax. Im getting them ready to rock on my 968, but need longer rear studs.

From that decal? To be honest, I´m not really happy with it. What do you think?

It's suposed to be the other way round on the left wing plus 968's never came with a wing decal ,only 944's and 911's and even 928's . The 968 had the side decal.
Here's mine
