S2 Valve Cover

Beginner Question......Ive got a small accumulation of oil laying on the valve cover, and its coming from this black round cover. What is it? Is there a gasket under there?

the green scribble is where the oil lays (i wiped it clean earlier today)

Located on that plastic cap/plug is an o ring that needs to be replaced. When you purchase a cam cover gasket kit it comes with the kit. There is a snap ring on the back side holding it in place.

Just did the tensioner pads, bummer. Can you get the cover off with the fuel lines still attached, or do they need to be removed?
