MAF with Lindsey intake?

Anyone try Rogue's kit in conjunction with Lindsey's balanced flow intake?

4° Camshaft Key + MAF-Kit + late Camshaft on early 944

Hi,
meanwhile my '84 944 is upgraded to Joshua's MAF-Kit + 4° Camshaft Key. I can absolutely confirm, that this is a big improvement for the engine of my car. :):) I drive my car ocassionally, not as a DD, but more as a vintage car.
Nevertheless I'm looking for more improvements, so I came across to the different types of camshafts used in the early and late 944s.

Do you think it would be a reasonable option in terms of performance to swap for a 944.105.155.09 Camshaft. This Camshaft closes the exhaust a bit later so I assume, in combination with the 4° Camshaft Key + MAF-Kit it could improve high RPM performance.
What are your thoughts?

Henry

It's been a while since anyone has posted in this thread....

Has anyone else installed this on thier car that can comment on the results

Genuinely transformative of the driving experience. Runs smoother, idles smoother, pulls way harder in all gears, from idle.

My experience shows peak wheel HP/TQ numbers up ~5 each, but there is a lot more torque across the whole range than with the AFM.

See this graph, green is with AFM, red is with NA tune (and no cam key yet).

Well, this seems to be a "No Brainer"!!!!! Now, come on "Tax Refund"!!!!!!

I was hoping to hear how the new ECU that Josh is working was on, might be done by now.

Bueller, Bueller, Bueller, Anyone, Anyone, Anyone???????

I have a new project car, an 86 N/A. The MAF upgrade may just be the thing. Taking suggestions as to other possible upgrades. Planning on Koni's of course.

Good on ya. That interior looks to be in especially good condition.

Has anyone run this kit through emissions yet? It is no doubt next on my order list, just wondering how it does through emissions testing.

DJnolan;
That's a nice looking 86 NA, Maf would wake things up for sure. The you tube videos are clear and a obvious difference in acceleration and drive ability. Cool beans.

Later...

I took mine off for smog time...went from MAF/chipped DME to running on stock AFM/early DME in 15 minutes.

Can you spare 15 minutes every 2 years?

any word on a kit for S models.

Rupert944 02-14-2014 05:17 PM

Seems like it would help emissions if anything, unless you live in a place where modifications = no pass, of course.

mytrplseven 02-14-2014 06:23 PM

That would be California.

Curious, no matter which Browser I use--including Bitdefender's SafePay--the Rogue Tuning website is blocked and categorized as malware. Suggestions?

Loads fine for me, no flags from my antivirus.
