I see what you (the OP) are saying, I always thought the hatchless look like in your photoshop pic would be cool. very reminiscent of the triumph TR-7 (which I always liked), but the problem is that it only looks good in that exact side profile!

Tervuren has it right - the whole car was designed as is, around the hatch concept.

It just wouldn't look right any other way.

But I do like the wagon in the above post...

I would rather get kicked in the nads than drive one of those 944s! Keep them the way they were made. I could only see someone with a mullet and a Def Leppard t-shirt driving one of those.

well i was looking at this thinking the grey car in the original post was the same color as my son's - then i was thinking hey they have the same basketball pole and mailbox and driveway as me - then it dawned on me that it was actually a picture of my son's car that i posted on here when we first finished it - no problem though - kind of proud the OP would use that picture as i've seen a lot of cars on here much prettier - add me to the crowd who thinks it looks better with the hatch

what a great color!
im not saying i dont like the hatch. but i DO like the cans styling. more or less this would be a cab, without the cab function.
