Water pump time! Not by choice!

Hello,

1986 944 NA,

I was doing a final inspection of my timing belt to make sure it would make another 5000 KM before changing, do my displeasure... I found coolant dripping behind the aft timing belt cover.

The pump and all rollers were done 2 belt changes ago... 80 000 KM roughly. I am loosing 1 liter of coolant about every 100 KM.

Getting too the point... I need help figuring out which pump and roller kit to order. I do have the belt guard and a smooth water pump pulley.

I would like to order a zims overhauled pump and the kit from Pelican... I already have both belts but that is my luck!

I feel like a jerk... I did a quick search but there is so much different info... I would research it myself but one of the aircraft I work on blew an engine and landed away from base and I am packing up to go take care of business. (air cooled turbine.. no coolant leaks there!)

On the positive side... the engine I am about to change is worth over $500 000, so the $500 I will spend is nothing for the Porsche!

I am planning on getting the flywheel lock this time too... unless you guys dont think it is necessary.

Thanks for helping... wish me luck. changing a PT6 on an airplane is a dream compared to any car... pictures to come!

Stephen
