Alternater Question

I know my Alternator is going, its only putting out 12.8Volts
Could the Alternator cause intermediate headlights. Like they will just dim down and stay dimmed. Then as if some of the electrical plugs inside don't work. but when I unplug one side it works. Like my window button. Driver Side works, Passenger doesn't. You unplug driver side button and passenger works.
Just not enough Voltage getting to the button?

I would check all the "big" electrical connections, battery, alternator etc. Sounds like too much resistance caused by corrosion to me.

You most likely have a bad voltage regulator, put all high load items on,A/C headlights, stereo, heater fan,etc and check your voltmeter,if it dips below 12v the regulator is most likely on the way out, around 13.8v is what you are after @ the battery.
Check all earth connections not just the larger ones, theres lots everywhere.
Good luck.
