sway bar bushings

Unfortunately my power steering pump has a slight leak, which happens to be directly above the passenger side sway bar bushing. And rubber dosn't like oil much, so the bushing pretty much ripped apart. ANYWAY.... i need new front sway bar bushings, so I figured I might as well get the stiffest ones I can find which will help reduce body roll (so i'm told), but I can only find OEM rubber bushings. (like here at pelican) Anyone know where I can find some performance bushings?

warning... i've heard bad things about the weltmeister FRONT sway bar bushings. the rear ones are ok, but not the front ones. go with OEM rubber unless you can have someone fab delrin ones for you.

good luck!

They will stiffen your ride a bit. However, you aren't going to see that much improvement with weltmeister bushings - unless of course, you are upgrading other goodies in your suspension too.

If it were me, I would stick with OEM style and fix the leak.

I had the exact same problem with the P/S. Be sure to fix the leak and to do it proper as it may result in a damaged p/s pump.

I had Weltmeister bushings in my 914 and they squeaked like an old rocking chair. Unless you are going to do an entire suspension upgrade, I would suggest you stay with OEM. The stiffness gain will be minimal compared to the annoying sound. Note that the previous owner installed the bushings and I do not know if he did it correctly.
