Wow. Dosent look like theirs many members out there close to me that are willing to lend me a hand.... Not for free of course I'm willing to pay. Just need a guy that knows these cars well. I'm speaking of my 944 n.a I really want to start driving it but rather give the cash to a member instead of these ripoff shops. Any help? Thanks.

There are several good shops in your area.

You get what you pay for.

Thanks first of all for the replies I was sure that the forum had some great guys that are willing to help. When I bought the car it was sitting for some time, it starts revs high then stalls. I just want to get it running normally, then do some preventive maintenance.

Do you plan to change the engine later?

Try Renwerke in Elmsford, ask for Cheech tell him James the Chimney sweep sent you, 914-592-4006 his prices are not that bad and I would not try the timing belt with out prior knowledge, plugs, wires, cap rotor, are easy compared to the timing belt I and very handy on cars, watched Renwerke do the belt and would not a temp it my self.
