explain brake lines to me, please

This is a pathetic post but I am clueless as to how brake lines themselves are set up. I bought a wilwood big brake kit for my 944 off of the 944hybrids forum. My issue is that I want to find brake lines for this and I have no clue what to buy. It says that I need "port adapters are 1/8-27 NPT then your flex line (at the body) is M10 x 1.0 "BUBBLE FLARE"". What does that mean and where should I get the parts? What tools do I need?

You might want to spend some time on google to familiar yourself with brake lines and the temanoligy. There are a few difflerent flares out there. The adapters are from the lines to the master cylinder I believe and M10 is 10 milimeter I believe and the flare is a bubble flare and not a double bubble.

Wait, wouldn't you have to get a flex line with m10 x 1.0 that are stock for the porsche and the adapter would be from the flex line to the caliper.

Why would you need an adapter from a stock flex line to a stock caliper? You are talking about running a wildwood brake master right?

If it were me I would ask at an auto parts store, one that makes hydraulic lines and such.
They should be able to show you the actual items you will need, or send you to someone who has what you will need. Then you can get a visual of what you will need. Bring the instructions and the kit in, too.

Ohhh...I should have clarified. Its a wilwood brake kit as in the brake calipers are made by wilwood.

djnolan, that's probably the best solution. I may just go with that option.
