i am pretty sure you can get a new waterpump for less than that. but if you can rebuild what you have, that is awesome. i'd love to be able to do that.
seized pump will kill your timing belt. and everything else in that path.... just saying.

i do the belts by hand. YMMV.
Home makes a decent tool that is easy to use. i've used one with my friend's car and it was spot on.

Well its been a long (but very productive) semester at school, and since thanksgiving week is around the corner I plan on staying in my shop most of the week, aside from stuffing my face with stuffing
SO I managed to get into my shop over the weekend and turned the 944 over and she starts, but wasn't really wanting to run that great... I'm not sure if the DME (the 85.5) is getting the temperature from the MAF /: I know the old AFM gave the temperature to the DME, but I'm not sure if the Abaco sensor does too... the wires are all connected on the car side of the harness so there is, something, being given to it I just don't know what.... anyway I just wanted to give this thread a bit of a kick and get things ready for my time off ( I do have a clutch kit coming for my 911 so I'll have a little to do, but I'd really like to have my 944 back up to 110%!) If anyone has suggestions as to how to check the temperature that the car is getting that'd be great Happy holidays! |
