Body part interchange between early and late 944's

Are there any issues putting older body parts on newer cars? For example: would a door from a '83-84 fit an '88?

For one the older left front fender has a radio antenna plug. What parts are you swapping?

I just went through this yesterday. You will have to enlarge an opening on the inside of the door if you plan use a late door panel on an early door.
