Drive the speed limit. Overhead surveillance is a timed distance calculation. You drive by a known point and cross a second known point and the time between points determines your speed. It's simple math; no voodoo lasers or radar to be beaten.

In NY there used to be lines painted on the road as reference points for the cessna they used for the Northway (I-87).

You think the Pork Choppers are using speed ranging radar on these frequencies? It would seem to me that the Fuzz busters could only be re tuned to a limited band of frequencies. Don't think there was spread spectrum then for that size package either.

If I were to design a differential sensing system I would use a laser. If they can get FLIR they sure can get a targeting laser system.

Interesting. I know some one I can ask. He knew about the cell phone tower ranging of stealth fighters way before it became news.

When was the last time you changed your timing and balance belts and/or cam chain and tensioner?

laser can be easily defeated. The beam has to be reflected back to the reciever. Black paint doesn't reflect it, and if one was to build a stealth '44....

So you want to build a SniperBuster???

A few years back there was an artical I read about a hand held radar imaging device that could read the raised numbers on cast pipe in walls. The inventer had figured out that he could "slice" the return signal with a really acurate timer and build an image on a lcd display.

I'm not aware that FLIR uses an active illuminator. Could I guess. About the only ways I can think of stopping FLIR is either a million candle power IR focused source back at the sensor or shoot it down.

I can see where the use of a broadband pulse radar would make sensing the frequency(s) a bit of a challenge.

I would think that a radar ranging device would have to have a very narrow projection and be a bit more powerful than the ground units. We all know what lasers can do.

Have put out a few feelers and will get back to you on receipt of valid data.
