screw identifiers in PET
how are the screw identifications in the PET to be interpreted? for example, here's one that I lost:
Illustration 201-03 part no. N 043 864 1 Screw BM 3 X 6 what does the "BM" mean? I assume "3 x 6" is millimeters of the head and shaft. I have not found this style of identifier in the usual places (Fastenal, Bolt Depot, etc.), so I am lost when trying to find it in the local hardware fastener drawers. another screw I have from the same illustration, N 013 957 5 Tapping screws B 3,5 X 9,5 this one has a measured thread pitch of 1.25

B is Probably the type of scew, flat or rounded or pan head, but not completely sure.
Pretty sure m means metric. For some reason commas were used instead of periods. 8͵5 is eight and a half. Had to figure this out also when trying to sort out the random and mostly incorrect screw placement on the dash of the supposed near perfect 6-speed 968 I bought.

well, it seems I found the screw that is supposed to be "BM" sitting on the car somewhere. If it is correct, it has self-tapping channels in it, and the thread is very fine. Was in a rush so I didn't write anything down.
note to self : buy new screws every time a job is to be done - save yourself massive grief.
