Sounds described are very subjective. If you could record it on your cell phone maybe it would be easier to diagnose. Do you have stock wheels and tires on the car? Is anything under the car, like the plastic wind shield under the engine, loose or dragging under the car? Is the electric fan moun secure on the back of the radiator? Is the sound unique to an RPM? Is there any debris in the front grille area? I had a cardboard box under my car once that sounded like that. It was in a fender well.
