Power steer pump help - 944

Hi there,

I went over a speedbump with my 85.5 944 and lost my power steering.

When I pulled over and looked under the hood my power steering pump was dangling by the hose that connects it.

I must have fractured whatever connects the pump to the engine, does anybody know the bracket or whatever holds the power steering belt to the engine?

Any help would be great.

Look carefully, the pump hangs from a big bracket that is the front bearing for the lower balance shaft. Any damage to that is bad news.

The pump hangs from a nut on the front and a bolt inserted from the rear. Yours probably wasn't installed with all the hardware and just fell off.

OK, thanks. I will take a look! Is that big bracket the lower gear carrier? That is something someone suggested but it is hard to find everything in a parts diagram.
