Supercharger for 944 S2!
Hi everyone,
Has anyone any experience of supercharging a 944 S2? Huntley racing have kits available for 944 8V, not sure about S2. Also if anyone has added nitrous oxide to a 944 I would be interested. Thanks Mark PS Yes I am crazy! |

Both a blower and N02 will eventually deteriorate the head of a 944S2. Issues like pitting of the cylinders, and fatiguing the head are likely to occur.
IMHO, it's best to keep an S2 engine stock. If you have $$ to burn, put it into maintaining the engine (cam chain tensioner/guide, rod bearings, rollers, belts, gaskets...etc). Don't forget: a working stock engine will propel a car faster than a broken down modified engine. And yes, modified engines break down more. Just my $0.42 -Zoltan.

Another thing to consider, and I'm sure I will get plenty of back up on this... The 944 turbo is considered the best starting point if you want to make great big gobs of horsepower. I hear they can go over the 300 mark. So sell me your S2 and buy a 951

Thanks everyone,
Maybe I'll think about it for a while I haven't got $7000 dollars at the moment anyway! Mark |

If you had $7000.00 and sold your S2 you could buy a perfect 951, possibly already modified.
