starter bolt removal advice?
Hey guys!
I know this sounds rather dumb but when trying to take the starter of my parts 944 it was super stuck! I tries pb blaster and my air gun but no luck. Any body have any tips for remove a bolt that has been attached for 10 plus year? |

hit the bolt-head with a ball-peen hammer a few times.
put a boxwrench on the bolt head and tap the end of the wrench with a rubber mallet, that usually gets them to come loose. |

If you can get some heat safely on whatever the bolt threads into, that always works much better than penetrating lubricants and brute force. Plumber's torch with a MAP gas cylinder, perhaps a carbon fibre cloth to shield adjacent areas (wires, plumbing) from heat.
Agree that tapping the bolt head can help break corrosion, but use a steel head hammer judiciously, not rubber. The point is to transmit shock.
