951 Alternator Harness Routing
CROSS POST
Need to know how the harness is supposed to be threaded down to the starter. I have it clipped into the tabs on the top of the heat shield already. Bonus points for a picture or two!

Not sure if this will help much since the engine is not there. The larger wire connects the positive lead from the starter to the alternator completing the path back to the positive terminal on the battery. Routing the smaller starter solenoid wires is pretty much at your discretion but it should be close to the way I've shown it on the picture. The wiring harness for the starter an engine are not in the car at the moment but I did place it in there connecting up the connection behind the booster and laying it around the firewall with the rest of the wires. The bends in the harness matched up well.

Thanks for the reply!
So, does it run between the oil filler tube and cycling valve?

That, I don't know exactly. On my S it runs between the oil filler neck and the intake throttle body buried back there were the Turbo on yours would be. I would think it would run along the engine under intake along with the engine wiring harness.
