"Value" H4 conversion, anyone heard of "NeoLite"?

While looking around for a set of Hella's H4 conversion lenses for sealed beams, I came across this. It's significantly less expensive than the Hella unit, but I'm always leery of things that seem too cheap. The Hella units are $38 per unit, while the NeoLites are $16 per. Has anyone tried the NeoLite version, or has anyone heard much about NeoLite?

I'm leaning toward the Hellas because I know that Hella will definitely have a good design and won't cause problems for oncoming drivers.

Get the Hellas or the Cibe's. Best extra dollars you could spend. I've had mine in for 18 years and they are still clear and bright.

When was the last time you changed your timing and balance belts and/or cam chain and tensioner?

Yup, have a set of the JC whitney special H4 knockoffs in my 944. I feel that they are significantly better than standard sealed beams. Are they as good as Hella or Cibe? Dunno . But, for the money, a worthwile upgrade.

The noticable difference between the copies and the real thing is the low beam cut off. The ones on the Hellas and Cibes are dead sharp while the copies I've seen tend to bleed over. Yes you can set them lower but that defeats the idea of the dead sharp cut off.

The glass is thicker and possibly harder. Leaded?

I wouldn't mind trying some of the superduper eBay lights but I know what I have with the Hella's.

Interesting that the big name in sports field lighting has faceted reflectors.

Thanks. You've definitely been most helpful, the beam cutoff is one of the things I was looking for as the current sealed beams are pretty much crap and there's no real definite center area. This summer I'll be under the car and cleaning the grounds too, after 16 years that will probably make a bit of difference. I'll try pricing the Cibe's too.
