Todwic

I was looking through the owners gallery and your car looks just like mine except my wheels are slightly different. If I had any clue on how to post a picture I would post one of my car. I don't have a digital camera but have a scanner. I can't quite figure out how to use it though.

It's pretty easy once you get it on your hardrive. Just remember where you put your .jpg at, and go down to the link where it sez "attach multiple". "browse" untill you find the pic you're after, "select" and then "upload" and you're good to go.

Go to your photoediting software, click on edit then on image size and reduce the size until you are under 100K

Jodi, I think you are asking about posting a picture to Pelican?

If so you need to find the file on your drive, right click on it and look at it's Properties. This will tell you how big the file is in bytes. If you have your Views set to details or your mouse cursor set to show you the pop up info as you hold it over a file then this will do the same thing.

Take the image file into a paint program. I like Paint Shop Pro. Your camera should have come with one. In a decent graphics program you can resize the image and make it smaller. I like to save the original image to a different file that I resize and add "pelican" somewhere in it's name. Make it just under the limit, 62k, as you can and save it as a JPEG "jpg" file.

Now when you write a message using the Post Reply icon and not the quick message at the bottom of the page, click on Attach file: / Browse and find your image. Most likely it will be in the My Documents/My Pictures folder. I like to use the Thumbnail View on my XP Pro O/S when browsing.

Seriously, nice to see some lady 944 owners on the board.

Keep up the good work Jodi!

Wow! Looks like Todwic's car but it's not up on jack stands!

Let me introduce you to another graphics or paint tool; cropping.

First I see that you got almost 96,000 bytes loaded onto Pelican's picture area. Puzzling.

Here is the same picture but I selected just the core area and got rid of the outer edges. Had to keep that red vacuum! I also used the brightness/contrast tool and bumped it up a few notches.

Yes so cal, the '84 model did come from the factory w/o jackstands, that's just an aftermarket thing i've added.

Nice car, Jodi. I have a bra I usually keep on mine because the front end has seen too many parking blocks. I have matching mirror bras, I think it looks good either way.

Now Scooter be nice!

Was thinking of having a hood painting party over at Todwic's.

How about a Porsche crest as big as the hood!

I'm there guys, remember I work Saturdays. shoot me and email or post something here.

We are way overdue for a Porsche party!

Lets invite Jodi, it's a heck of a commute, maybe she could hitch a ride in a F-18.

All the blown timing belt post are getting me real paranoid, I am planing on paying someone to change mine in the next month or so.

Two more crispy creams for lunch! That's a total of five plus two big mugs of coffee! I'm going to have such a headache!

As I write this they are loading a fifteen ton chunk of the Titanic through the roof into one of our third floor galleries!
We got bets as if the floor will hold out, engineers say no problem... we'll see!
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!

Must be the chunk they raised shown on PBS or Discovery.

Guess I'll have to pay you a Saturday visit so I can get up close to it.

I was thinking of outlining the crest on a friday-saturday then having the final painting on a Sunday so we all can get kind of ***** faced.

Todwic, I have the matching mirror bars also. They are usually on all the time.

Scottmandue, I would love to hitch a ride on an F-18 or any fighter jet for that matter. Since we have heavies here I could drive the car right on and fly there. A P-car party sounds great!! I could use a good ice cold Beer right now.

Jodi, Next time they have to ship a C-17 back to Long Beach hitch a ride. We are all about 30-40 minutes from there.

Thinking of "other" types of 944 get togethers. How about one called "COPS". We all sit around a parking lot after midnight listening to the police band then roll on a crime scene at top speed!

It could be like Mad Max. Have a camera in each car, you could get on worlds scariest chases easy! Just install a ram-bar on the front of your cars to bash in those loony CA bank robbers. I'd pay to see footage of a group of 944s chasin a beat-up cargo-van at high speed and bashing it off the road. Man, if I could be a COP and use my car...

Killing time in my cubicle.

Wondered where the "Ramm" in your handle came from!

I don't think I would want to make a chase a contact sport.
