924S Selling Prices
Greetings:
Looking for information on a selling prices for a 1988 924S in good condition. Now I am aware that this topic is subjective, and values can vary depending on area of the country. It appears good 944's value has increased in the last 5 years, however the 924S is a different animal. The facts are as follows: 1. Body is in good condition, respray 5 years ago and no dents. 2. Interior good, no rips in the seats and the dash has a cover. 3 2nd owner 106,000 miles. 3. Lots of new parts including tires, brakes, shocks, AC compressor and the AC works and the car also has a turbo hood and header panel. 4. Car is located in the Northeast. In addition to Pelican Parts and Craigslist and 924.org are their other sites that I should advertise the vehicle. |

I had an SE with similar attributes, had to remove the cloth seats in favor of vinyl ones, but they looked great, and 70k miles, barely got 4,000 for it. (Midwest, btw).
4-8,000+ dollar 924S cars sit for a long time.

Probably about $5000 for an '88 in good condition if you need to sell it this summer.
ebay has a few completed sales for the '87 924S at about $3700 and a '88 924S for $5000. At 30 years old, the 924S has a lot of competition for buyers. J_AZ

Or to put it in context, you can get a better condition Boxster for like 5k (at least here). That's the ceiling on anything but a truly exceptional 944/924S these days.
