Please add your location to your profile. To all you guys that write in with problems but no location, we can't offer to help or loan you that test part you need if we don't know where you are.

I'm a member of a number of forums, and heartily agree. If you need assistance, and someone is nearby it prompts them to chime in. If they don't realize you are in the same county or area in that moment, then they may not check back into the thread later to find out you are. You can miss a valuable opportunity to get a suggestion from a local that will get you squared away in hours, vs days.

So, its in your self interest to do so.

Speaking personally, it also seems kinda "I'm not really part of this community and don't want people knowing where I am" to me. Rightly or wrongly, that's how it comes off to me. I like knowing where someone lives that I'm reaching out to - emphasizes that we're a community.
