Timing job question
I am preparing to gather parts to do a water pump/timing change on my '87 NA and I have a few questions...
I read where it says you need an updated rear timing cover with the new style water pumps. how can I tell if I already have this ? I don't want to be caught without everything I need once its apart. Which is the best water pump to go with ? I see so many choices out there. Thanks so much

Your 87 944 has the updated rear cover. Keep in mind that it also has the "automatic" timing belt tensioner.
