Custom End Table

I was a member for quite some time but hadn't visited in a while and just re-registered. I own a 993TT, but have many friends in the community and one of them gave me a bunch of 951 and 968 engine parts some time ago...so I built an end table from those parts...

Custom fabricated end table with live edge walnut top. The top is epoxy resin coated and has beautiful gloss (top is removable). The top is indexed/pinned to the base by 1/4" wood dowels through the connecting rod caps.

The base is fabricated from Porsche 951 and 968 top and bottom end engine parts. Tripod form...

The backbone is a 951 camshaft, with a mix of 951 and 968 connecting rods and turbo compressor wheels. The feet are 968 connecting rods and 968 pistons. The steel is all Tig welded together, and the compressor wheels are epoxy glued on. The piston 'feet' are free to swivel on the wrist pins.
