Looking for a connecting sleeve for the transmission mainshaft to driveshaft.
This is the sleeve that slide over the splined shaft, joining the the two components. It will have a lock nut style fitting on both ends. |

It's called a 'torque tube'... my 82 924 had one put on by the previous owner.. he paid around £500 for it... (approx $750!) and from the bill for the workshop time - it's not a simple job - he spent, in all about £2500 on the job!
(just goes to show, it's bloody expensive in the UK!) |

Which trans do you have? The 79 came with the snailshell (Porsche made), and most 80's came with the Audi box. If you don't find one soon I can give you some contact info to somebody that has many of them...
