wtb: good hatch struts // int. header panel // hood emblem // etc..

Seeing as how everyone that said i could have certain things all backed out, i'm bumping the thread....

still in the market.

i'm in the market for some good used (or new if the price is right) hatch struts.. hopefully the kind with the connection for the rear defogger...

If anyone has a rear header panel (the strip between the sunroof and the rear hatch) I'll take it off your hands too.. need it in black..

vacuum resevoir (the dome-shaped thing in front of the battery) with hose connector intact (mine broke off..)

regular sized hood emblem, good shape please..

a center console switch (mirror selector or rear wiper switch) for an early car.. i dont care what the condition is, as long as it works..

I prefer canadian sellers, as it's coming to canada and i dont wanna pay border fees.. but i'll listen to offers from the states too if the price is right..

I have good hatch struts w/connectors, the vac amp, and a good looking hood badge (I think).

Hey, Kyle, Mandy says she'll sell you the header panel piece. Dunno what it's worth. Make an offer? Haven't found the vac amplifier. Haven't looked - too busy. But will!

how much do you want for the hatch struts and good(ish?) hood badge? can i get a pic of the badge? as long as it's better than mine that's got the black and red mostly chipped out...

Slam, i really have no idea what it's worth.. i'll look back in old posts see what others have paid.. anyone else care to chime in on this?

Don't bother with $, its Karma I'm after.

Hood badge I found actually sucks though, it is chipped in a couple spots and dull, so someone else will have to step up.

I got you on the struts and vac amp.

PM me an address.

adding that I would also like a center console switch for the early cars (like the mirror selector and rear wiper).

slam, as for the rear header... i didn't have any luck finding any previous ones for sale.. so i'm not sure... hows... 30 bucks? *shrugs* feel free to bump the price if you were thinking it was worth more.. i have no concept of interior panel worth.. lol

Hey, E, $30 sounds fine to me. However, the panel is from a car with an electirc sunroof and I seem to recall the design for the latches is a little different. I've been gone all weekend and haven't checked it out but I will get to it tomorrow. Gotta go to work this evening.

Well, looks like you just rolled lucky 7 then...

I have two cars both with black interiors.

My 87 is being built into a spec 944
My 83 is a parts car, broken timing belt. I just bought it today, pick up tomorrow.

The 87 interior is completely out and in good shape in my attic. The 83 roof panel is in good shape as well, and it's a parts car for my racer... don't need no stinking roof panels...

So hey, tell me what you still need. The header panel is no issue, I have 2. I don't need any interior stuff at all from the 83, so if it has any switches those are fair game for ya... I'll know tomorrow afternoon. Anything else?

I will certainly check this thread but may be sketch for a day or three when it comes to pics. I am on a 48 hour deadline for a work project and out of town fri-sun for a wedding.

But I have your parts...

because simon spoke first, i'll give him the chance to find out if it will fit.. if not, then i'll be looking your way for the header panel!

as for everything else, i'll get back to ya..

I may have a hood badge in decent shape. I have to check. My wife may have threw it out.

Hey, Kyle, I'm so sorry for holding you up! If you can get all your stuff from one place, go for it. You'll save a bundle in shipping. And if schwank's roof panel is a direct fit, there's no guesswork involved. The power-sunroof one will work but it may take some twiddling.

i know simon, but he's in portland. you're in canada.. anything that i'd save on shipping fees i'd spend in border taxes most likely.

arbita, i'd appreciate a quick look if you've got the time to try to find that badge

True, true.

I've got a pass. side window motor. I'll see if I can test it and get back to you.

The header panel... The vinyl is in excellent shape but for two short cuts (about 1.5 inches front to back) made to accommodate the latches. These aren't tears and a good gluing on install should hide them. It doesn't have the pop-out covers for access to the hatch bolts and it doesn't have the hole for the sunroof retaining strap - guess power sunroof cars never had to have their hatches removed...

well my problem is that the hole where the strap *used* to be on my car is all torn out, and took with it a lot of the material.... i dont see it while driving, but i know it's there.... :P

i would really appreciate a test of the motor...
