I see you are located in AK. I am in central MO, about 2.5 hours away.

Are there any running examples of the cars, any ones that have good drive but just body or interior damage that could be used for a track car?

Also, would the owner be willing to allow someone to drive down and pull parts, to save shipping, especially for large items? I wouldn't mind having a spare tranny, maybe some sports seats, god I could think of a lot of things I would love to pick up...

let me know.

Schumi,

Thanks for your interest. You are bringing up some of the issues I have identified with the owner of these cars. And that is who is to remove the items folks are looking to buy? Due in large part to the holidays I have not been able to sit down with the owner to discuss these issues and to come up with a solution.

To answer your question, it is my understanding that the automobiles in the pictures are in various stages, some are running cars but with body damage, at least one is a fire damaged car, while others are perfect in terms of body and interior but an unknown engine or transmission problem exists.

Having said that, there are three overseas containers full of engines, transmissions, and other parts. Inside the facility are racks and racks of engines, transmissions, and interior parts that have been removed from cars and are in storage.

I have asked for a meeting this week with the owner who is not onsite...to discuss these and other issues and hopefully come up with a solution. The problem is that nothing has been identified as to year or model and there is no inventory record or method of locating parts in storage.

Schumi, there are several excellent track car candidates on site, (one has already been built). If you are willing, as you stated in your email, to remove the items you want, I am sure something can be arranged. Please contact me offline at hcarraro@hughes.com.

Jim,

Unless I am mistaken, I believe you would have your choice in this particular instance. A 87 944S head, or a short or a long block. I will have to check to see if there is a complete 968 engine with the DME.

Henry

Hi there. Here in the UK I just CANNOT get the black plastic tailgate side trim pieces for my 968. They were on late "bridge spoiler" 944s as well. Also after a GOOD seat back or complete seat to replace my worn driver's side (that's RHS, passenger side to most of you guys...!!) light grey leather electric sports seat, with red piping. A pair in the right colour without the piping would do.... Can you please help??
Chris.
