WTB: Manual Steering Rack for 944

Since my engine is apart for a rebuild, I figured I would see if I can locate a manual steering rack so I can delete my power steering pump and save some weight. Please e-mail me at Litespeeds@hotmail.com if you have one for sale and let me know the price. A local Porsche salvage yard sells them for $150 but they don't have any in stock right now. Thanks.

What year rack are you looking for? early type all metal or latter type ?

I didn't know there was a difference. I have a 1988 944 na with power steering that I want to switch over to manual. Which one fits my year car?

THERE ARE 2 TYPES EARlY ALL METAL AND THE LATTER 195 1/2 ON THE DIFFERENCE IS THE WAY IT BOLTS TO THE CROSS OVER, the early one are pretty easy to find and are cheap but the latter are more difficult to find due to the fact that most cars were power S equiped. i CAN SEND PICS OF THE LATTER ONES i HAVE FOR SALE
