Beware of this SELLER
Sorry, Title should read: "BEWARE OF THIS SELLER".
Use at your own risk. He sells on this board, also. Be sure to read the whole thread. http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=21458&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 Last edited by Buddy; 02-24-2007 at 09:58 AM.. |

I dunno... I didn't read the whole thread, but my advice is to never use paypal unless you already know the seller... they f**ked me out of a couple hundred bucks for a carb once. It's a long story that I've already posted elsewhere, but the long and short of it is that paypal doesn't give a **** about you.

Read the whole thread, especially the last couple pages where the seller admits he got the money but Paypal won't give it to him, since he owes people from other transactions that he screwed them on.

OK, I see what you're talking about, but still... don't use Paypal unless you don't mind losing your money. If there is a problem they will do **** to help you. BTDT

The best thing to do is to use your Paypal with a credit card as your payment so this way if you get screwed, just call your credit card company and they will reverse charges and investigate the problem.
I did that once with an ABS unit for one of my cars and the seller never e-mailed me a tracking number or anything. After about 2 weeks, I told him that I am not going to wait anymore and requested a refund. He never responded so I contacted Paypal as well as my credit card company and got everything credited back to my account.

that's one interesting thread. i have every confidence that any intelligent person will draw the correct conclusions in the matter, the simplicity of the situation cannot be hidden or even obscured by the sellers totally irrational arguments. my main concern is how can we protect ourselves from thieves and scoundrels when they can so easily change their identities, and continue practicing unethical "business" are their ways to track them?

Indeed, callmethewanderer. It is a fact that theives when identified by one name will use another. It is unfortunate that they will just use another identity to pull the same scam on the next victim.

it's a shame because decent people like myself try to start a business using paypal and it does nothing but hurt our business when people abuse such a service...
