Very hard hit 88 944 parting out.
This is a 88 that I had done work on before. It was in really great shape. The owner had just rebuilt the head complete and new seals and water pump!!! He hit a Dodge neon at 50MPH. The engine was pushed back to the firewall!!!! The motor mount strut got ripped away from the block. The top of the tranny got ripped away from the mount. The steering column came up into the dash about 3".
Lucky driver got out with only a cracked rib!!! The drivers side door still opens a closes fine. THESE CARS ARE SAFE!!!! I have the pistons and dme if anyone wants to convert to higher compression durning a rebuild. I also have the rebuilt head. The timing belt did not break, so the inside of the engine survived intact. The tranny, I will pull the gear set and sell it. The case got busted on the top mount.

Might be interested in the DME for a spare, if it's inexpensive enough. let me know what you're thinking for it, I have no idea what they go for. I would like to have a stock chip for my '88 as well, if it still has it.

what kind of rear seat belts does it have? Lap or shoulder? I am looking for shoulder.
